Care Center Ministry Serve at Care Centers. Visit with residents, bring them Eucharist, or help with liturgical services. Background check required.
Disabilities Awareness Ministry Disabilities Awareness Ministry meets monthly and focuses on awareness, education, outreach, and programming for our parishioners and their families. Members act as liaisons with the Parish leadership to help all become more aware of the needs of those members with disabilities, accessibility or inclusion issues. The committee plans a number of events for Disability Awareness Month in October each year.
Emmaus Ministry Emmaus ministers are trained volunteers who provide a listening presence. Embodying the caring presence of God and the faith community, Emmaus ministers are called to listen to the sacred story of another. Anyone who is in a life transition with an illness, loneliness, the death of a loved one, chemical dependency or job loss may benefit from an Emmaus relationship.

Approximately 20 hours of training in the art and skill of listening is provided. Training takes place each winter.
Employment Ministry Job Coach: Works with individuals in career or job transition. Choose to specialize in an area such as resume writing, interviewing, or look broadly at a person's life or career path. Flexible schedule. Requires a high degree of confidentiality.
Eucharist for the Homebound Bring Eucharist to homebound members of the parish. Background and driving record checks are required to be a part of this ministry.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion The Basilica is GROWING and Eucharistic Ministry is growing with it! Be a part of this amazing spiritual ministry. Teams serve once a month. Funeral Hospitality Provide setup and hospitality at The Basilica for friends and family to gather for refreshment following a funeral or memorial for a loved one. Commitment is on an as-needed basis, with 48 hours notice.
Grief Ministry Offer support for anyone who has lost a family member or friend to death. Grief ministers connect with the bereaved by telephone and handwritten notes. This is something you can do from home according to your schedule.
Listening Ministry As church, we are called to welcome the stranger. Listening ministers are available to listen to guests, with a variety of needs, who find their way to The Basilica. Weekly shifts available. Time commitment is flexible.Training and ongoing support provided. The ideal minister is able to listen without judgment and without needing to fix or solve the guest's problems.
Mental Health Ministry The steering committee meets several times a year and focuses on awareness, education, outreach, and programming for our parishioners and their families.
